Lou Gehrig Day

,
  • ALS of Michigan was looking to capitalize on one of their largest revenue generating events – Lou Gehrig at Comerica Park (home of the Detroit Tigers). Previous marketing materials for the event were not engaging or memorable. This in turn was reflected in a low turnout and mediocre funds raised by the event. A memorable and icon image to go hand in hand with the promotions of the event. Research was done to reflect an earlier era in baseball with a modernized feel. The result is a two comment design 1. A stylized Illustration of Lou Gehrig and 2. The lower logotype event name with nostalgic typographic styling. They could be used separately or together.
  • The event logo was applied to web promotions, T-shirts, on-site event banners, social media, and press-kit materials. The Client was very pleased with design execution. Increased visibility of the event. Sales of event T-shirt increased by 75%. Funds raised by the event also increased by 50%.
